Special Update: I Have Joined The OLYMPUS VISIONARY

I am super happy to announce that I am now an Olympus Visionary! Olympus Malaysia has started their Olympus Visionary program and I was privileged to be invited to join. I would like to thank everyone who visited this blog and followed me over the years, I appreciate every single once of your presence! Moving forward, there will be some changes to my writing approach, and I have written an update statement at Ming Thein's site (click here), so please hop over to find out the story behind me joining the Olympus Visionary, as well as what changes from now on.


All I can say is, Shutter Therapy lives on!

Olympus OM-D E-M1X Launch Event in Malaysia

Olympus Malaysia and Singapore had a joint launch ceremony for the new Olympus OM-D E-M1X last week, just a day after the worldwide announcement of the camera. The launch happened at Sepang International Circuit, a prestigious racing track that has hosted Super GT, Moto GP and F1 races over the years. The guests were media and dealers from both Malaysia and Singapore. I was requested to help out, being an Olympus Visionary, I took charge of one of the touch and try stations. It was a fun day meeting so many people, some familiar faces whom I have known from my days of officially working for Olympus Malaysia. All Olympus Visionaries from Olympus Malaysia and Singapore were also present in this event. Solving Life Problems with Ramen

Last Sunday, I found this cool Ramen (dry, non-soup based style) place at Sri Petaling called Menya Hanabi. I went for their signature dish, the Nagoya Mazesoba, a dry Ramen served with toppings of minced meat, lettuce, seaweed, a raw egg yolk and chasu (braised pork). This was my first time eating a Ramen which was not a broth/soup based. You know what? It was fantastic! Image was shot with Olympus PEN E-P5 and M.Zuiko 17mm F1.8 I remember back in the days when I was working in Olympus, I had opportunities to travel to Japan for business trips. The common question which I have asked my then Japanese colleagues was - "what is your favourite Japanese food, being a Japanese yourself? Or, in other words, what is the Japanese food which you are most proud of?" The answers that I have received have always been consistent - Ramen.
